18th Street CorridorI don't understand the interest in an 18th Street corridor from 24. It goes over a rough railroad crossing, up, over, and down an old bridge at an ackward angel, by several old businesses that aren't that nice looking, over another elevated railroad crossing, and finally enters a residential area of narrow streets. It finally dumps out east of the Downtown Shopping Area and west of the East End Shopping Malls. Its a "tweener" and with Market and Broadway both being oneways it is very inconvenient for Downtown shopping.
West VillageI was retired by "The Gov" a few years ago when he did away with my State job and I chose to buy a home and live in Logansport. I am far from a wealthy man but with years of planning I could have afforded to live almost anywhere but I fell in love with Logansport, and the people of Logansport, back in the early 1960's.
roundaboutsI for one like the roundabout idea at chase and davis. Although it may take people a while to get used to them, in the long run it will make for an efficient intersection. What do you think?
HalloweenAnother Halloween has come and gone. It has been my pleasure to to give treats to little ghosts and gobblins for 50 years now. I started when I was 12, it was the way then to go trick-or-treating one night and help hand out treats when you got home. That wasn't the only difference. Doctors Office vs BMVThere was a time when going to any branch of the BMV to get a plate, title a car, renew your license, was going to be an all day saga. It seems now going to see a doctor is making those days of long lines and long waits at the BMV short in time.
A Little ConfusedI am a little confused on this sign issue. I know it is easy to confuse me lately. I thought the Downtown Plan for the future was to build a unique shopping and business area similar to Metamora or Brown County. An area that looks historic, thereby drawing sightseers, with specific specialty stores much like what can be found in Nashville, Indiana. I vacationed there this summer and business was completely over the top, they were raking the money in literally.

Bullying ~I wish this program would have been in place when O was in middle school. I was happy to see that it doesn't just encompass shoving in the hallways and hitting, but also the exclusion of others, eye rolling, etc. Middle school can be such a tough time for kids. To feel they are not wanted because they aren't "popular" makes it just miserable. So bravo to LCSC for addressing this!! I pray it works.
Thank You Don CrainI love small town living!
